Victory in Europe (VE) Day celebrations

Adult coffee craft and chat

Thursday 8 May, from 10.30am to 12 noon

Come and share a joke, meet old friends and make new ones. We are  celebrating VE Day making red, white and blue paper decorations.

Cost: £1.50 per person.

Saturday 10 May, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Make a Union Jack windmill or flag

Suitable for age 5+. Cost: £1.50 per child

Leaving Fatherland

Author talk with Matt Graydon

Saturday 31 May, from 3pm to 4pm.

Join local author, Matt Graydon, as he discusses his debut historical novel, Leaving Fatherland. "Striking historical fiction with offbeat perspectives inspired by a true story".

Cost: £3 per ticket, per person.

Book online or if unable to book online, please book in Oxted Library.

Spaces are limited, tickets are available in library on the day from 10am.

Other events

Meet up and catch up - Sensory Services by Sight for ÄûÃʵ¼°¹

Session will be held monthly on Wednesdays between 10am to 12 noon. Upcoming dates: please check with the library.

Join Sight for ÄûÃʵ¼°¹ with our new informal meet ups. Supporting people who are blind, vision impaired, deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing.

Lego club

Every Wednesday from 3.45pm until 4.30pm during term time.

Suitable for ages Age 4+.

Cost: £1.25 per per child, per session.

Next terms sessions start on 7 May and finish on 21 May.

Please book from Tuesday 29 April at 9.30am, either by emailing oxted.library@surreycc.gov.uk or at the help desk.

No drop ins. Please book to avoid disappointment.

Build a story

Every Thursday during term time, from 2.15pm to 2.45pm.

Stories, songs and DUPLO play.

Suitable for children aged under 5. No booking necessary. Sessions free.

Knit and natter

Last Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Free of charge. Bring your own project to work on or just come for a chat!

Knitting corner

Second Saturday of the month starting on 12 April, from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Drop in and have a go!

Free of charge.

Digital Support Volunteer

Every Thursday from 10am and 1pm.

Do you want help using a computer, the internet, your iPad, tablet or iPhone, or other IT related problems?

Our Digital Support Volunteer is available to help you on, please book your appointment in the library or by emailing oxted.library@surreycc.gov.uk.
