Course intent
Make your own silver and sea glass ring. Learn how to design and make a ring that fits you and choose a piece of sea glass that means something to you. Or create a beautiful gift for someone you love.
What will I learn?
You will learn:
- design
- measuring
- sawing
- filing
- shaping
- bezel making
- rub over setting and polishing
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
Beginners and those with some experience are welcome.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
You need to bring:
- a plain notebook and pencil
- sea glass if you have some – there will be a choice of pieces if you haven’t any or the piece that you bring isn’t suitable. Sea glass should be no more than 4mm thick.
- Wear closed toe shoes (no flip flops)
- Remove long scarves.
- Long hair to be tied back.
- Bring an apron or wear old clothes.
What can I do when I finish the course?
In discussion with your tutor you may like to progress onto our Jewellery and Silverwork course or enhance your learning on one of our Saturday Jewellery workshops.

We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities.
