What should we know about you?
I'm passionate about driving sustainable system change in careers provision in ÄûÃʵ¼°¹, creating the vision and strategy for the Careers Hub, and building strong foundations with all stakeholders.
Before growing up, what did you want to be?
My mother was a Headteacher, and I wanted to be a teacher too. She gave me interesting career advice: "Go and do something else first, and you'll bring a different life experience into the classroom when you get there." I'm still enjoying doing the 'something else first!'

What should we know about you?
Having worked in various roles in economic development and programme management in ÄûÃʵ¼°¹ and in London, I now manage ÄûÃʵ¼°¹ Careers Hub and Business ÄûÃʵ¼°¹'s business support service, aiming to maximise the impact and value of both services. I am passionate about the continuous improvement of careers provision and facilitating closer partnerships between employers and the education system, to ensure a bright future for ÄûÃʵ¼°¹'s young people and ÄûÃʵ¼°¹'s businesses.
Before growing up, what did you want to be?
My initial goal of being Peter Pan proved to be impractical. I then aspired to be a forensic scientist, although I didn't know how to go about it. I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I love the variety of local government and am a firm supporter of squiggly careers.

What should we know about you?
Having previously been a Careers Leader, I love meeting the Careers Leaders in my new caseload. I bring all stakeholders together to improve outcomes for the young people who often get left behind, helping to create a community of inclusion!
Before growing up, what did you want to be?
I thought about being a nurse, but after work experience at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on the renal failure ward, I realised I didn't want to be a nurse at all! I actually wanted to work with children with learning difficulties / physical disabilities.

What should we know about you?
Employers can become great role models for young people, enabling them to think: if they can do it, so can I! Meeting a range of diverse employers encourages young people to expand their ambitions; this is especially important for students who don't have their own networks. I love being part of making this happen.
Before growing up, what did you want to be?
At school, I was voted most likely to be Prime Minister. It's safe to say I enjoy careers far more than politics!

What should we know about you?
Work experience was valuable to me; it taught me so much and brought me out of my comfort zone. It sparked my ambitions, giving me insight into an industry I was interested in. I believe that every young person should have the opportunity to experience the world of work, to help them make decisions.
Before growing up, what did you want to be?
Cabin Crew, but unfortunately, my ears don't pressurise well during landing, so that would have been a painful job (literally!)
